Open Access
Ácoma provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater exchange of knowledge. The members of the Editorial Board, who are professors and researchers at public Italian universities, embrace the principles of Open Education and Open Science promoted by the European University Association (EUA), aimed at fostering the diffusion of scholarly research and broadening participation in education and culture through the dissemination of knowledge. Based on these principles, ever since its foundation Ácoma, while being an international academic journal with rigorous scholarly standards, has been published in Italian in order to grant wider access to its contents, recognizing the national reading public as the primary user and beneficiary of publicly funded research.
